Tyler Cameron Merrill Obituary:  It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Tyler Cameron Merrill, a beloved husband, father, son, and friend. Tyler, formerly of Auburn, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the young age of 25.

Born on July 22, 1999, in Auburn, MA, Tyler was the cherished son of Steven Merrill and Charlene Bonzey. He spent his early years in Auburn, where he developed a deep love for the outdoors, hockey, and animals. Driven by a strong sense of duty and patriotism, Tyler proudly served in the United States Army and later continued his commitment to his country in the National Guard.

Remembering Tyler Cameron Merrill

Tyler was known for his kind heart, infectious smile, and unwavering dedication to his family and community. He worked at Shawhan Place, a respected horse breeding farm, where he was able to combine his passion for animals with his professional life.

Above all, Tyler treasured his role as a husband and father. He leaves behind his loving wife, Haley Theresa Merrill, and his beloved children: Kaine Eual Choate, Eliza Rose Choate, and Harley Lynn Choate. His family meant everything to him, and he embraced every moment spent with them.

Tyler is survived by his parents, Steven (Carolyn) Merrill and Charlene Bonzey; his brothers Kyle (Stephanie) Merrill and T.J. (Stephanie) Merrill; his nephew Callum Elliot Merrill; grandparents Ronald and Barbara Bonzey and Lorna Merrill; step-siblings Brad Leger and Rachel Leger; and many aunts, uncles, and extended family. Also among those mourning his loss is Charlene’s Goddaughter, Heidi Vokes, who was like a sister to Tyler.

The sudden passing of Tyler Cameron Merrill has left a deep void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Known for his generous spirit, warm humor, and dedication to those he loved, Tyler’s memory will live on through the countless lives he touched.
