It is with broken hearts that the family and community of Longview, Texas, share the devastating news of the passing of Jase Layman on June 19, 2025, at the age of 11. A beloved student at Johnston-McQueen Elementary School, part of the Longview Independent School District, Jase had just completed the 5th grade and was looking forward to a summer filled with fun after a successful baseball season.
A GoFundMe fundraiser, organized by Heaven Hooks, has been launched to help ease the financial burden on Jase’s family as they plan his memorial and lay him to rest.

Visitation and Funeral Services
Services for Jase Layman (Jase Bentley Layman) will be held at Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Longview, Texas.
- Visitation: Monday, June 23, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
- Funeral Service: Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM
