It is with broken hearts that the family and community of Longview, Texas, share the devastating news of the passing of Jase Layman on June 19, 2025, at the age of 11. A beloved student at Johnston-McQueen Elementary School, part of the Longview Independent School District, Jase had just completed the 5th grade and was looking forward to a summer filled with fun after a successful baseball season.

Visitation and Funeral Services
Services for Jase Layman (Jase Bentley Layman) will be held at Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Longview, Texas.
- Visitation: Monday, June 23, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
- Funeral Service: Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM
